Greetings Hilltop Families. As we begin this new week here are a few announcements.

Walk-a-Thon this Friday: A BIG thank you to all who came out, walked, volunteered and encouraged Hilltop students for our 4th annual Walk-a-Thon. It was a great time filled with exercise, laughter, and fellowship! Just a friendly reminder, ALL money and sponsor sheets are due by Friday October 5th.  

Hume Lake Christian Camp: It will be a little quieter this week on campus with our middle school students gone to Hume Lake Christian Camp. We’re looking forward to hearing all about their week-long spiritual camp when they return next week!

Canned Food Drive: October-November we’ll be having a canned food drive with our partner Contra Costa County Food Bank. Last year we collected over 400lbs of food and we’re counting on you once again to help us surpass that amount this year! The donation barrels will be located in the gym entrance. Look out for suggested canned food donations in next weeks newsletter.

Picture Day is Coming: Last week you received the Lifetouch Picture day order forms. Just a reminder that picture day is on October 3rd. If you would like to order your childs school picture please send the order form back on picture day. If you need an additional order form please stop by the school office.

Fall Festival: Save the date, Sunday October 14th is our annual Fall Festival from 3:00pm-6:00pm. Look out for class sign-up sheets for parent help in the classroom weekly newsletters.

Olweus Parent Meeting: Save the date, Thursday October 18  at 7:00pm there will be an Olweus bully prevention parent meeting here at the school. Please join us for this informative meeting on this program we embarked on last school year and how it has and will continue to impact our school for the better!

Hot Lunch and Lunch Tickets: Hot lunch is available Monday-Friday for $5. You will always receive a lunch calendar the last week of the month for the following month. This year you will need to purchase lunch tickets in the school office for days you would like to order hot lunch. If you would like to purchase a lunch your child will need to order one each morning in your child’s classroom. If you arrive late to school and will need to order a hot lunch your child will need to let Mrs. Starr know in the school office since lunch orders are taken first thing in the morning following daily attendance. Please keep lunch tickets safe, if tickets are misplaced they cannot be replaced and a new one will need to be purchased.

Smart Tuition: As a friendly reminder, Hilltop has partnered with Smart tuition for monthly tuition management. If you need assistance logging in to Smart Tuition please call or stop by the school office. You will need the email address you gave the school in order to create a new account. Payments are always due on the 15th of each month and late fees will apply on the 16th if payments are not received. If you have any tuition questions you can contact our school Treasurer at: dvieira@hilltopcs.org.

Renweb: In addition to Smart Tuition we also have partnered with Renweb, our school informational system. You can create a new Renweb account using the email address you provided the school. The links to Smart Tuition and Renweb are found on our school webpage at: www.hilltopcs.org 

Extended Care:  Just a friendly reminder, we now open up at 7:00am Monday through Friday. Extended Care is also now available until 5:00pm on Friday’s. Students need to be signed out each day when you pick up. If your child is not signed out you will be charged up to the closing time on the scheduled day. Closing time is 6:00pm Monday through Thursday and 5:00pm on Fridays. There is a $1 a minute charge for after closing time. There is also a morning charge of $3.75 from 7:00-8:00am Monday-Friday is you use morning care.
