If you missed our Olweus Bully Prevention meeting last month, here’s a quick recap…

Olweus Bully Prevention Program Components:

Bullying is when someone repeatedly and on purpose says or does mean or hurtful things to another person who has a hard time defending himself or herself.

Four Rules:

  1. We will not bully others
  2. We will help students who are bullied
  3. We will include students who are left out
  4. If we know that someone is being bullied, we will tell an adult at School and at Home.

Parents play a critical role in the Olweus program as parents are the link between home and school. If a child reports bullying behavior always ask if they have told an adult at school as well. With your assistance, Hilltop can continue to be a school where all students feel safe, welcomed and will continue to thrive in and out of the classroom.
